Chief Medical Officer Unilabs Middle East

Dr. Ali Bayoumi is a clinical pathologist with over 20 years of experience, currently serving as Chief Medical Officer for Unilabs Middle East and Clinical Associate Professor at Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences (MBRU).
He trained and worked in Australia at the University of Sydney and Westmead Hospital and research Institute, where he also completed PhD in Medicine and Clinical Teaching Fellowship.

Dr. Bayoumi has led major diagnostic organizations with a strong strategic vision, driving innovation and excellence across global laboratory services.

He has published more than 20 papers in high-impact journals including Nature Communications, Science Translational Medicine, Advanced Science, Frontiers, E-Biomedicine, Trends in Genetics, Hepatology, and the Journal of Hepatology.
His research has been recognized with multiple awards, including the Australian Government Research Training Program, the Westmead Research Excellence Award, and the University of Sydney’s Peter Bancroft Prize. He continues to combine leadership with research, shaping the future of diagnostic medicine through visionary and strategic initiatives worldwide.
